Founded in 2004, String Furniture combines Scandinavian tradition with ingenious design made in Sweden. Elegant form meets flexible function and an iconic, recognisable aesthetic.

Here’s how it works: Choose one of the String® products and open the String® Planner. Build your ideal shelving system using drag and drop, click the AR icon, then scan the QR code with your smartphone to view your design at home and buy the matching products directly. Good to know: The String® Planner is only available on desktop.

Designed by Kajsa and Nisse Strinning in 1949, the original String® shelf is a design icon that’s not just a masterpiece of invention but also officially recognised as a work of art. Additionally, it also inspired design enthusiasts Peter Erlandsson and Pär Josefsson to found String Furniture in 2004 and continue the legacy of Nisse and Kajsa Strinning.
