Matcha Moments
Matcha is much more than just the summer trend of iced matcha lattes. This finely ground green tea from Japan is a true superfood: full of antioxidants, supportive of the immune system and a gentle energy boost without the caffeine crash. Tip: look for a rich, bright green powder – this indicates the highest quality and a mild, floral flavour.

How to Matcha
1. Measure: Weigh out 2 bamboo spoons (approx. 2 g) of high-quality matcha. 2. Sieve: Pass the powder through a fine sieve into the matcha bowl to avoid lumps. 3. Whisk: Stir with 60-70 °C hot water and a chasen (bamboo whisk) in a zigzag motion until creamy and frothy. 4. Enjoy: Pour into your favourite cup, add milk and, if you like, sweeten with syrup.
Westwing Deli: Pumpkin Spice Matcha
For the syrup, bring 180 ml water, 150 g brown sugar, 60 g pumpkin purée and 2 teaspoons pumpkin spice to the boil, then leave to infuse briefly. Prepare the matcha as usual and froth it with 100 ml barista oat milk until creamy. Pour the syrup into a glass, top with the matcha cloud foam, then sprinkle with matcha powder or cinnamon – and your energy boost for cold days is ready.
